So these are my favorite images from my Spring/Easter Pinterest board.
Let’s be clear. I like these images. They’re pretty or cute or neat. But they are not things I think that I could actually do. I realize they are (mostly) for preschoolers. I still couldn’t re-create them.
And that’s OK. It seems God gave me factoring skills and some serious tv-watching skills. But I only have the gift of admiration when it comes to crafted things.
Nevertheless, I will attempt the Easter tomb rolls tomorrow morning. Because they only have 5 ingredients, which includes refrigerated crescent rolls with no baking ability required. And the actual connection to Easter is great. I still need those concrete reminders of what Jesus did for me, just like a preschooler does.
We’ve also been enjoying bunny tails (#6) because that only required me to buy a bag of doughnuts. I can do that.
The original plan was to bag up some bunny tails and give them to my math department peeps. But that didn’t happen. Sorry, peeps.
So Derek has walked around the house telling the kids to eat their bunny butts all week. We have laughed and laughed. Because it’s so stupid. And because the kids know I don’t like for them to use the word “butt,” so I’m laughing with them but keeping my eyebrows raised so they know that I know that we’re not supposed to be laughing.
*I just realized the bunny tails picture actually shows marshmallows. Personally, I wouldn’t get excited about getting two marshmallows. But two bunny butts would make my day. 😀
